Loose Leaf Albums

Traditional European book craftsmanship, coupled with the unique characteristics of high quality hand woven decorative silk brocades from the East, make these albums an exquisite choice for your most cherished photos and memorabilia. This classic loose leaf style photo album, made entirely by hand with strong and durable construction methods, is made up with single, scored photo sheets of high quality acid free natural cream Italian heavy weight paper and is bound to last with binding screws and satin ribbon ties. The rigid cardboard cover is covered with high grade bookcloth combined in a wide array of colours and patterns from our selection of silk brocades and comes in 4 convenient sizes.

Spine dimension is fixed to ensure a sturdy and strong binding that can be handled with ease and comfort. This allows for a limited number of extra sheets to be added depending on how thick the items that have been added are (for example cards, photos or thin paper) and if both sides of the sheet have been used throughout. When the album is filled to capacity extra sheets may put pressure on the binding

In addition triple spacers between each page guarantee that albums are able to accommodate the thickness of photos so that when full they don’t gape open and photos don’t stick together. Also keeping the album in its box will prevent it from being packed too tightly into a bookshelf with the risk of photos sticking to each other.

Album sheets have 3 score lines going with the grain direction for ease of opening & turning and to ensure that the paper doesn’t crack along the fold.

Photos can be mounted using clear photo corners, photo tabs (optional extra) or a glue stick. Album leaves can be written on and decorated without showing through, running or bleeding. An optional Japanese interleaving sheet can be added for extra protection to prevent photos from direct contact and scratching.
